Aboard the International Space Station

by Ed Lau on December 2, 2009

Ever wonder what it’s like orbiting our planet aboard the International Space Station, a research facility made by several nations collaborating their science and technologies? I’m sure we’ve all had dreams of being astronauts at some point or another. Well, NASA posted a video on YouTube during the summer which gives you a first-person view of almost the entire space station.

I knew that it would be rather claustrophobic considering how little actual space they’ve got to work with but I never imagined that all the astronauts seem to be pretty messy people! Space suits and packages of supplies strewn all over the place! I bet they actually cleaned up a little bit prior to filming too. The place seems wonderfully complex, though, with lots of cool nooks and crannies.

There’s a bunch of weird NASA abbreviations and such that most of us will not understand but heck, it’s a very interesting video anyways.
