Left 4 Dead
I really need to find more time in the day. This is one of those “perfect storm” times of the year when tons of quality games come out and there’s simply not enough time to play them all. I saw a video for Left 4 Dead the other day and was convinced that [...]

Former US Vice-president Al Gore was awarded The Nobel Peace Prize today for his efforts to increase global warming awareness and promoting solutions, most notably with his film, An Inconvenient Truth. He adds this to his Oscar for Best Documentary and the award for “Having the Most Badass LCD Setup On Earth“. Which one he’s more proud of…well, I’m not entirely sure.
Gore says he’ll donate his share (he splits the prize with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) of the estimated $1.5m in prize money entirely to the Alliance for Climate Protection.
I’m not sure about you but in all seriousness, Gore is the ideal candidate to be the next president of the United States, especially after the tumultuous eight years America has gone through with the Bush administration. Of course, just about anyone would be an upgrade at this point with the trouble in the Middle East and a recession looming but even though he’s said he won’t run, I’m sure a lot of people are hoping that Al Gore declares.
In fact, even though he has not declared, Gore is still at 13% in the latest democratic polls. Even though he’s still dwarfed by Hillary Clinton at 39% as well as Barrack Obama and John Edwards, I’m almost entirely sure this is due to the fact that he has no declared. If he did, I’m sure the numbers would rocket.
Al Gore is the sort of president the States needs right now. Could you imagine how different the world would be if the courts didn’t rule in favor of the “hanging chad”?
It also total sense for him to run after winning the Nobel Prize. He’s already done everything else to increase awareness of global warming. What could possibly be more influential than being the most influential man on the planet he’s trying to save? Educating people is just fine and furthers his cause but being president would be a massive leap in that he could directly influence policies and changes.
He says he won’t run…but he hasn’t completely ruled it out of the question.

ReplyI keep hoping that Al Gore will enter the race. He would have my vote. The current lineup of candidates just don’t do it for me at all. Al Gore for President!!!
ReplyAlthough Al would be a great candidate, I think Hilary would probably be a better choice to save that piece of printed paper called the US Dollar. She seems to have a better handle on fiscal policy.
Replyelect a woman….are you nuts?
