When I checked up on my blog this morning, I noticed a pingback from Nice4Rice and was pleasantly surprised that Nick Ramsay, a.k.a Spud Oregon, had reviewed my blog! I had been reading his blog, which reviews other blogs and pits them in a battle royale for small blue bowls of rice, since Michael Kwan told me that he had been reviewed almost a month ago. I think it’s a fantastic idea since it promotes blogs in the community and it’s also a good move on Oregon’s part since it is almost a sure thing that reviewed bloggers will give him a link back.

Oregon says he throughly enjoyed reading the.[ED]ition but unfortunately, his wife was not amused that he spent all day doing so. He was particularly interested in my post on Youtube and Myspace as well as the comparison between Top Gear and Fifth Gear. Spud is British so I’d expect that he is familiar with Clarkson and company even though he is currently teaching English in Japan.

Nice4Rice features a sort of voting system where readers “give rice” to the reviewed blog. At this moment, I currently only have two big blue bowls courtesy of Kelly Cho and fruityoaty.com so please sir, could I have some more rice? All Your ___ Are Belong to Us… Haha, I never get tired of variations of that joke. At my last job (software tester), my co-worker’s e-mail signature was “All Your Bugs Are Belong to Dev”.

My site was won of the earlier sites to get reviewed and that was when, both my site, and Spud’s were relatively new so I didn’t get much rice
