And I’m Off!

Posted on May 31st, 2008 by Ed Lau

Just finishing up packing for my trip to Taiwan and Japan for the summer. It’s the middle of the night and I even woke up extra early on a Saturday so perhaps I might actually be able to sleep on the plane. I’ll be leaving YVR at 12:45pm and arriving in Taiwan at 7:45pm on June 2nd (note the time zone difference…I’m not on the Concorde.) where I’ll meet up with Michael Kwan, John Chow and Stephen Fung in Taipei.

Since I arrive at 7:45pm, I’m told I’ll be fashionably late for our first party in Taipei (which apparently begins at 7pm) so I’ll be heading straight to the hotel, dropping my stuff off and then hopping back into the taxi to the Gigabyte party.

Since I’m on vacation, this means this blog will no longer be updated daily. Of course, it still might be updated daily but I honestly doubt I’ll be able to maintain that for the duration that I’ll be in Taiwan/Japan so for the first time since I started in November of 2006, I might actually miss a day or two of posting. However, I’ll be blogging about my trip regularly and I’ve already got a lot to do while I’m in Asia. In particular I’ve found some great stores, restaurants and I’ve ordered tickets for some live shows, festivals and concerts.

I might not be able to blog everyday but I’ll probably be able to Twitter regularly so if you haven’t already, add me on Twitter.

Gasp, no daily dose of all things awesome? :)

On a side note, the location of the party apparently isn’t that far from the hotel, so you might be able to just walk it instead of cabbing it.
