Asian Hammer!

Posted on December 3rd, 2007 by Ed Lau

I wasn’t aware that in this day and age, there were still MC Hammer fans left in the world. Sure, when I was a kid, Hammer was huge but…well, other than appearing at TechCrunch 20, he’s pretty much fallen off the map.

A friend sent me this today telling me it was awesome and when it started, I fully expected it to be a hilariously bad U Can’t Touch This dance by an Asian dude but other than for a pause in the middle when he seems to forget the steps, holy crap, he does a pretty good Hammer! Of course, the video would be ten times better if that old lady knitting in the background joined in halfway…

That’s hilarious. I remember talking about MC Hammer all the time when I was little. But now that I think about it, I don’t know that I ever knew who (or what) he was.

I love how mom continues to knit in the background while her son is breaking it down to MC Hammer.

Pretty damn funny…But I truly don’t miss the days of MC Hammer. That was a whole wave of badly dressed dudes in bright colors. Argh
