This is one of the coolest timelapse videos I’ve seen. Love the way the camera tracks small details and how the whole thing just flows well. Add Malaysia to my list of places I just have to visit, right behind Istanbul and Croatia. (via Fstoppers).

I’m sure most of you have noticed that I focus more on food blogging these days at EdEats.com as well as Passion for Pork. I’ve always struggled to find any sort of direction with this, my personal blog, but I’ve decided that this blog will lean much further to the personal than it previously did. I’ve always tried to write blog posts like I did essays, especially in recent years but with my other sites but nowadays, this one sort of gets lost in the shuffle since it doesn’t have much of a specific purpose.
So I’ll throw any of that out the window and post random things here from now on. I’ll keep putting event coverage and probably a movie review or two but it’ll be much less formal and probably more pictures from everyday stuff like what I’m doing or the cool stuff I stupidly buy. And less wordy. I find myself typing well over a thousand words whenever I do a restaurant writeup so I’ll try to work on my brevity here.
Maybe I’ll even update the look of this place sometime.
Stay tuned!

Wow – fantastic video! I’ve always wanted to go to Malaysia as I’ve heard nothing but good things and love the food in the Far East.
I also found this one of a time-lapse in Vancouver (which I did visit a few years ago) that looks pretty good, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xMz2SnSWS4
You’ve now got me looking through the app store on my phone to see what time-lapse apps there are, as you can get some great effects!
Thanks for sharing this videos. The night lightning in Kuala Lumpur is too good. Last week one of my friend went there to spend her holiday season and she has also shared with pics with me. Those are awesome!
Thanks for sharing these videos. Malaysia look so beautifull, the night lighting mkes for the perfect setting. I would to visit that country someday.
Nice timelapse and thanks for sharing, wish you success with the travel to Malaysia and looking forward to more nice crisp clear photos and interesting experiences and insights you share here.
what a beautiful time lapse. I have wanted to try this out in a couple places but need to carve out the time to set it up and monitor it. I like in a vibrant city and think this would be great to do during one of the city functions. They turned the main strip on new years to look like a street in paris, it was really cool.
Very beautiful video. Very professionally done! I can understand the vimeo award it got. You have such an eye for photo and video that i could see you doing something similar.
Malaysia look so beautiful, the night lighting makes for the perfect setting. I would love to visit that country someday.
