It’s just because he’s African American that he’s the new president. People are saying the same thing over and over again, “US is in for a complete overhaul”. It’s just a monkey see monkey do game, but a lot of people don’t even know what he’s going to do. Voting for him to be the president is a chaos, but think about if he DID NOT get voted. Oh man, will all hell break lose here in Los Angeles…

This is the best news all year, I think the Americans have done their country proud, he is going to bring new life into the country.
When I heard the news on Wednesday morning a smile came across my face, just knowing that I am around for this momentous event in world history. Congrats to Barack Obama.
i can’t agree at all with the commenter who said obama was only elected because he is black. in this country, that would be seen more as a reason NOT to elect him. he overcame tremendous odds to win this election, and he did so with his intellect, his focus on people vs. process, and his incredible oratory gifts. i, for one, am delighted to welcome brains and language back into the white house. it has been a very long, very dark eight years…

People didn’t vote for him because he’s black. They voted for him because he’s qualified. If Flava Flav ran for president, you would not see him in the White House.
I still think that Obama is only a little bit better than McCain. The Third Party candidates were so much better this year.

I agree with Ed, even if Michael Jordan or Shaq ran for presidency we would not see them in the White house. They would probably just buy the White house…
