Actually, I believe it’s escaping a fart but…half the time, it looks like he’s getting even more permeated in it. I don’t even know how to begin to explain this one…

Stephen Fung Explains Snack Food MascotsPosted by: Ed Lau in Food and Fine Dining, Random, TravelWhat happens when three hung-over Dot Com Moguls stumble their way through the streets of Taipei in search of munchies? Stupidity, my friends. Stupidity.
Living in Vancouver, I thought I had seen it all in terms of wet weather. I mean, we get rain all year round and it can get pretty bad. However, I didn’t realize it was freakin’ monsoon season in Taipei. It was like being under a waterfall. A boiling hot waterfall. Unlike everywhere else in the world, probably, the rain in Taipei is actually hot so walking around in it during 35 degree weather with 100% humidity makes you even hotter than when it’s dry so don’t think you can cool off in the rain. It’s a really good idea to carry around an umbrella…a tough lesson I learned early after getting soaked to the skin whilst making fun of Michael Kwan for his Mary Poppins-esque umbrella (yes, he looked ridiculous…but dry).

Dot Com Pho…with Flip Flap!Posted by: Ed Lau in Food and Fine Dining, Random, Tech and the Net
It looks like all the other members of Dot Com Pho are settled back into their regular routines. In continuing with out new trend of shooting the exact same video from multiple points of view, both Stephen Fung and John Chow have made separate episodes of Dot Com Pho this week and they want you to decide which is best. And by the way, Flip Flap freakin’ rules. I won an iPod at COMPUTEX but I think I’m much happier with my Flip Flap since I already have a wackload of iPods. Thanks Gigabyte! I love the fact that the Eastern world now has a good understanding of English but quite good enough to avoid the various double entendres you see everyday in any Asian country. It happens a lot in Europe too and I can’t help but snicker every time I see something like this… ![]() snicker… |
