Having gone to a Coldplay show last summer, I can tell you they are a truly special band when it comes to playing a live show. They have great energy and presence. The experience is epic, especially when you hear the crowd sing along in unison. If you aren’t lucky enough to get tickets and see it for yourself live and direct, the band has released an album of nine songs recorded in front of a live audience. Personally, I prefer live versions of recordings to their cleaned up studio counterparts.

i got an email from them telling me i could download a copy of their live album. when i click on it it brings me to a picture of a butterfly silhouette and their songs in it.
Wow. Awesome. Thanks for the heads up. Yep, I saw Coldplay last summer at Pemberton and it really was an incredible experience. And you are right about their energy and presence. They have such a wonderfully appealing humility to their persona… it’s quite endearing.
