Dot Com Hot Pot in Taipei

Posted on June 16th, 2008 by Ed Lau

Just before Stephen and Michael went home to Vancouver and I headed off to Japan, we went for some dinner at a surprising hot pot place near our hotel. Yes, it does seem a bit counter-intuitive to have hot pot in 35 degree heat and 100% humidity but then again, when have we ever been known to be normal?

Despite the heat, I have to say Taipei isn’t bad. If you can get over the absurd temperature, having fun in Taipei is easy and cheap. Heck, a meal like we had here would’ve cost us double in Vancouver.

The baller one was very worth it. That was really good, and so cheap. It’s too bad they started taking away all our extras because they were afraid we’d eat them out of house and home.

If only we had gone like half an hour earlier, we would have had full access to all the extras.
