Downhill Biking in Whistler
September 4th, 2007 by Ed Lau |My knee still can’t handle walking up steep terrain or much walking in general so while some of my friends went off hiking in Whistler, I sat my ass next to the downhill and had a beer. When there’s snow, Whistler is one of the best ski resorts in the world. When there isn’t, it becomes a totally badass downhill biking course full of jumps and mud. The entire place is just swarming with downhillers and wow, some of these guys have serious. The speed at which some of them took the jumps was downright suicidal.
I didn’t just sit there doing nothing though. I did get to test out my new camera, which I found focuses a lot faster than my old one. I haven’t developed too many yet but I think I might get about 10-20 good ones from the close to 1000 RAW files I came home with. Here’s one…
