Entourage Is Back? Already?!

by Ed Lau on June 16, 2007

HBO usually has a policy of taking absurdly long breaks between seasons with any of their shows. Hell, Entourage took a 8 month break in the middle of season three so I’m sure everyone was a bit surprised to learn that the show, which aired the third season finale on June 3rd, would be back tomorrow. That’s only a week break with twelve episodes slated for the fourth season, which begins, according to TV.com, with a documentary during the filming of Medellín in Columbia. This is a bit of departure from the usual as we never really get to see Vince on the job very much. You might remember that the first season began at the premier of Head On, the second season after Queen’s Boulevard and the third after the filming of Aquaman.

Entourage is actually one of the more successful HBO shows at the moment since The Sopranos “ended” and was one of the only on the network to see a rise in viewership last year. However, it has only been renewed for season four so far and there’s no word on a season after this. At four seasons, the show has already gone on longer than most on HBO so let’s hope even more people watch this season. It would just be too sad to see Johnny Drama out of work again.

I love Entourage and was happy to see that they were starting the 4th season so soon after ending the 3rd season.

I just wish the show were longer as that half-hour goes by so quick and then I have to wait a week until the next episode. I’ve tried to skip a few episodes and then watch a handful back to back but I usually end up watching it later in the week before the next episode.
