Jay-Z + Radiohead = Jaydiohead
Even though I think Girl Talk’s mashup album Feed the Animals is near the pinnacle of musical brilliance, I did have a single complaint. Greg Gillis never lets us listen to a damn song long enough. Every so often, he’ll stumble upon a mix so awesome that you just want to hear more [...]
Learn MoreGears of War 2 is Mind-Blowingly Good

Literally. I can’t even count how many times my head has been reduced to a bloody splatter beneath a Locust size 57 boot in the last three hours. And I haven’t even started the campaign story mode yet!
I picked up my copy on the 6th and to my surprise, there was no lineup to buy the game at midnight. I happen to be up at midnight anyways so I decided to check things out. I probably wouldn’t have bought it if I had to line up. I hate lining up and refuse to do so for nearly everything.
The greatest new feature is probably Horde mode, which pits you and up to 4 friends against wave after wave of Locust scum just waiting to reduce you to a lead-ridden, burned and gibbed corpse. It starts out easy but eventually even when you’re bunkered in with a good supply of ammunition, it still won’t save you against a huge load of Maulers, Grinders and Boomers descending on your position. It requires more teamwork than, ugh, Halo 3 but probably not quite as much as Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.
Either way, a heck of a lot of fun. I’ve probably yelled “OH #%*&! BOOMERS! LOTS!” more than anyone has ever in the past few hours.

ReplyWould everyone please stop making me want a 360! It’s bad enough I have GoW on the PC, I don’t want to have to buy a console and a new TV (I lack one of my own…)
