Get More Blog Traffic With BlogRush!

by Ed Lau on September 17, 2007

I’ve had some all-time high numbers for traffic recently but I’m always looking to expand my readership. Heck, you can never have too many visitors.

John Reese, internet entrepreneur, has come up with BlogRush, a “cooperative syndication network” which broadcasts your blog to other related blogs in the network when you install the BlogRush widget. For example, if you happen to select “entertainment”, then your blog will show up on other entertainment blogs. Also, the more people you refer to BlogRush, the more times your blog will be seen in the widget on other blogs.

For example, if your blog gets 1500 visitors a day, then the widget will be loaded 1500 times. For each time the widget is shown, your blog will be broadcast on other blogs. Also, if a blog you refered to BlogRush gets 1500 views, then your blog will show up on the widget another 1500 times.

…I think I’ll let the official video do the talking.

I think BlogRush will be a very helpful widget to have here, much like MyBlogLog and other community building tools. I’ll give it a go and see how it performs over the next couple of months.

Seems like every blogger has already joined blogrush, so I thought what the heck I’ll join too :)

I just installed the widget yesterday myself. Actually, I screwed up the widget and Stephen Fung had to go and fix it for me ;)

Sounds like John has ANOTHER winner. This makes it easy to get traffic while implementing a bit of Viral self-promotion. Already I see this widget on TONS of the top blogs!

I’m not sure I’m proud I have it yet. Reese is going to get a ton of data.

I added this widget a couple of days ago. Haven’t seen much traffic as a result.
