Giant Indiana Jones Boulder Made of Lego…and Rolled Down Street
May 21st, 2008 by Ed Lau |
A bunch of yahoos took their love for the Indiana Jones series a little too far…or not far enough…when they decided to make a massive boulder out of LEGO and roll it down a street in San Francisco. In case you haven’t been to San Francisco…quite a few of the streets are extremely steep. Apparently the “boulder” was made up of five million LEGO pieces, which probably cost quite a bit since LEGO isn’t cheap. Of course, the result is definitively awesome…except for whoever owns that Previa. How do you explain that to the insurance company?
“My vehicle was in an accident…”
“What was the make of the other vehicle?”
“Uh…it was a gigantic ball of building blocks.”
“…”

Oh no! It’s going off course!
It’s amazing what some people are able to do with Lego. When I was little, I made a lot of really square tanks with incredibly tiny wheels. And that’s about it.
Why am I suddenly reminded of the epicness of “TV Champion”, the Japanese TV gameshow where they found the best at (insert random thing here), such as chopstick use, cooking with oversized frying pans, anime model making, etc etc etc. They did one for Lego too, which allowed 2 Lego fans from Japan to go to Denmark to build against 2 local Lego fans for the grand prize of… a trophy and a sash. And honour. They built fantastic things that put most of our childhood building to shame… Available at Veoh among other places…
