Happy First Birthday Sally!
September 8th, 2007 by Ed Lau |
Even though she always looks at me like I’m a moron, I received an invitation from Sally Chow to her first birthday. Other regular Vancouver bloggers that came to celebrate our youngest Dot Com Pho member’s birthday included Stephen Fung, Michael Kwan, Jeff “The Communist” Kee and Greg Morgan, although Greg showed up so late that it was almost time for Sally’s second birthday! Well, actually, I was a tad late myself since the daycare house where the party was held is situated on the corner of the most confusing intersection in the world and I got a little bit lost…

In an attempt to teach her that pandas are, in fact, our friends and not our mortal enemies like her father John Chow would have her believe, I bought her a panda. Too bad Michael is pretty horrible at using my camera…or maybe he just can’t hold up all that weight.

Upon seeing one of his nemesis species, John was immediately consumed by bloodlust and grabbed the nearest weapon, a large knife. After an epic fight between man and bear, he finally got the upper hand.

Fortunately, there were enough panda supporters present to hold him back. As punishment, we made him sit in the corner wearing a fairy outfit until it was time to cut the cake.

Happy Birthday, Sally! Keep your dad away from that panda!

happy birthday! Doesn’t John have another daughter named Ashley? How old is she now? And what’s up with his hate against pandas?
His other daughter was there too. I think she’s driving age so John will be giving up his RSX soon.
We need to get you in the gym MK! Ed’s camera wasn’t THAT heavy
