Visiting Union Gospel Mission
John Chow, Stephen Fung, Greg Morgan and I were invited down to UGM today to have some lunch and hear about some of the new stuff they’ve been doing lately. We’re always glad to go down to UGM as well as help them raise some funds to help folks in need over the holidays.

Watching How I Met Your Mother has some weird side effects. The show is so wonderfully layered that you can watch it more than once and see things you didn’t the first time around. Other times, you’ll just see something so incredibly weird that you think “…whoa, that’s awesome.”
Tonight’s episode had everything necessary for epic status, including “The Bro Code” and a goat. However, the thing that made it legendary for me was…a hot dog toaster. Seriously, when I saw it on screen, I thought “Dude…forget light bulbs and whatever…that is the best invention in the history of mankind.” And I don’t even like regular hot dogs…
Of course, I thought it was just some ridiculous prop made for the show but after googling “hot dog toaster”, I actually came up with this.

Yes, it costs $49.99. I don’t think I’ll buy one but just knowing such a thing exists restores my faith in mankind. A world with hot dog toasters is just a better place than one without.

Still no answer as to why a package of hot dogs and a package of hot dog buns do not contain the same ratio of products.
ReplyLol, I cannot say that I am really surprised to see that there is a hot dog toaster. Have you ever seen the “octo-dog” makers? Big hit with the kids.
ReplyOMG that machine is just sexy
Now you don’t have to waste time to do a little grilling

ReplyDude that thing is sweet…it’ll come in perfect on those days you want to eat hot dogs and want to bypass the nuker!
ReplyLooks like it only cooks the small dogs though, must be Chinese
ReplyThis is going to save some serious time for lunch with the kids. I digg it.
ReplyWorking at an e-commerce company, I’ve definitely seen this thing come up in product meetings. We always decide against it, but we certainly wouldn’t complain fi the manufacturer sent us a sample
