Hottest News Anchor Ever

by Ed Lau on November 21, 2006

A couple of friends and I recently had a discussion about who is the hottest local news chick. Admit it, every now and again, when you watch the news, you think “Holy crap…that anchor is pretty damned hot.” Personally, here in Vancouver, there are no shortage of beautiful women doing the news. Heh…”doing”.

We have Tamara Taggart of CTV, who apparently host…something. I can never remember. Who can concentrate on what she’s saying?

There’s Jennifer Hedger on TSN Sportcenter, who gives us someone nice to look at between highlights. I mean…you can only handle so much Dave Randorf and Darren Detchyshen…

My favorite was Jody Vance, formerly of Sportsnet. I don’t even know what she’s doing now. She was never great at the whole sports news anchor thing as she would butcher most names but…wow. If you know me you’d know I’m a big fan of “nerd hot” and Jody Vance was a good an example as any, right up there with Tina Fey.

There are many others. Several anchors on CNN are fairly attractive and there certainly are really hot weathergirls or local news reporters all over the place that would get plenty of attention. However, there is one that Trumps them all. Recently, some guy on Youtube put together a video so I thought I’d throw in a link so you can see her in action.

Her name is Melissa Theuriau and she is positively stunning. I can’t believe people can actually get the news from a woman like this. If she told me aliens are attacking and that we had to leave our houses immediately, I would still be sitting in front of my TV with a puddle of drool collecting under my jaw. The next time France loses at some kind of war – and it is inevitable, please send her to Canada. Maybe then we’d have a reason to watch crappy French TV.
