I Hate Boxing Day…
December 26th, 2007 by Ed Lau |
Maybe it’s just because I hardly ever need help regardless of which store I go to but I can’t stand it when people ask me stupid ass questions when they come to the store. Some guy came in and asked me how much ink cartridges were today?
“For which printer?”
“I don’t know.”
This is where I just walk away.
One guy thought that the black bezel on the iMac was due to the screen not reaching the edge of the LCD.
Even with the strength of the Canadian dollar, there were very few deals this Boxing Day compared to shopping days down in the States. Heck, there wasn’t anything in particular at any store that I could say was a smokin’ good deal. Oh well, at least I didn’t have to do much and it was pretty much dead all day except for the couple hundred idiots coming in to ask stupid questions.
God, I hate retail. I can’t wait until there’s a better way to get health benefits so I can finally get the heck out of this industry.

You could get loaded from all this dot com income and buy health insurance yourself.
There was a glimmering light in the Photo Dept in the form of 4GB Sandisk Ultra II Compact Flash cards. Good ole LD beat every other retailer by $10 bucks on that item.
So…anyone get trampled for Fererro Roche?
I picked up a 2GB Ultra II SD card for $22
Seriously, what is with these crazy Chinese and chocolates!? It’s almost like Philipinos with Spam and linens. My family never trampled anybody for chocolates.
how would you ever entertain yourself if you didn’t work retail? and not to mention, provide endless stories for us to enjoy?!
I tought you Canadians have the same as we do here in Sweden, which is that you dont need a insurance?
The government-provided insurance is very limited. When Ed talks about medical insurance, he’s talking about things like dental coverage, eyeglasses, etc.
