I’m free!
December 15th, 2006 by Ed Lau |For a few weeks at least. Today marked my last exam for Winter ‘06 and it’s smooth sailing from here til…January. It’s a relief since I spent the last few days just dazed out of my mind from being sick. It didn’t help that I woke up early today to go to school to avoid traffic. I arrived at UBC a little after 6am, driving through an entirely electricity-free Vancouver. I gotta tell you, driving through Kerrisdale when all the lights are out and it’s too early for sunlight is a bit scary.
Luckily, Starbucks was open at 6am because it was frickin’ freezing outside. We’ve been having a bit of storm weather here in Vancouver with serious wind and rain. The wind knocked out power lines and…as you can see here…several trees. It wasn’t as bad in Richmond but still, this was just a few houses away from mine.

Christmas is getting closer and I’ve still got tons of shopping to do. I can’t decide what I want this year though. Usually I buy something for myself since most of my relatives don’t know how to shop and my parents usually just give me money. I’ve spent so damn much this year that I seriously can’t think of anything I really want to buy. Any suggestions?
