The summer of 2008 had its ups and downs. While there was absolute, disappointing garbage like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Speed Racer, Wanted and The Mummy 3, there were some true gems of awesomeness as well. There’s no need to tell you about The Dark Knight, a movie that simply transcends the action genre but the surprise for me that year was Iron Man, which I didn’t have high expectations for. However, that movie rocked our world that summer and in 2010, Iron Man 2 looks to do the same.
The trailer for the sequel was released today and it looks fantastic with Mickey Rourke as the new baddie, Whiplash. It also looks like Don Cheadle took over Terrence Howard’s role as War Machine (I forget what that dude’s real name is). As if there isn’t enough reason to see it already, it looks like Scarlett Johannson is in it too. If the trailer is any indication, the movie looks to be a lot like the first in that the serious scenes are serious and the light hearted scenes are hilarious. Summer 2010 can’t come soon enough.
