I’ve been looking for stuff to put on my car lately and after purchasing a front lip, I went shopping for wheels. After shopping for prices and a lot of Photoshopping to see how various wheels would look on my car, I’ve finally decided on these. They sort of just showed up out of the woodwork recently but after seeing them on other black Mazda 3’s, I think these are the ones. They’re from Japanese tuner company Work, model name Emotion CR Kai. They’re a bit more than I originally planned to spend since they’re forged (stronger than cast wheels). They’re also a shade lighter than I originally planned but hey, brake dust will take care of that. The extra cost per wheel means I might have to make a little trip down to Bellingham, WA to save a couple hundred bucks on tires. I was going with the Kumho Ecsta SPT summer performance tires but going down to America opens up a few more options.

I don’t have an exact picture of what these will look like on my car but this pictures should give you some sort of idea. However, I intend to get 18″ wheels and these are only 17″. The spokes are longer and more aggressive looking on an 18″ wheel. Also, I found out that the wheels in this picture are…replicas (cheap bastard…lol) so the color might be a bit lighter than the actual Work Emotion CR Kai’s I’ll be getting.

They look good in bronze too…what do you think?

Update: Gunmetal 18×7.5+43 ordered…but it’s going to take 6 freakin’ weeks to get here! They’re coming direct for Work so I have to wait for some dude in Japan to forge my wheels. They better be made of tamahagane

Like the IGN commercial says, “Save your money.” I would take that advice!

John’s right, cars aren’t really best place to place your money - but, if it makes you happy, then buy the gun metal ones!

Yeah! IGN says “Spend Your Money on Shitty Games!”

Nice wheels Ed. They were my second choice if I couldn’t get the ZR1’s in my fitment.

Tried to see if some darker shade purple ones would look cool on your car?

My buddy got a motorcycle which is black with dark purple rims which look just plain evil and as your car is also black who know could look wicked!

I’m not agreeing with the save your money yada yada, you don’t know how tomorrow will look like, if you have the money spend it.
Hey I mean what’s the point of saving if you’re not going to be around to use them if, and god forbid, something bad happens?
