James Kim’s body found

by Ed Lau on December 6, 2006

I first heard of this story a few days ago, when I read that his family had been found safely.  Rescue workers found the body of CNET editor James Kim today in Oregon. Kim’s wife and two young children were found safely two days ago. They had become stranded in the wilderness and Kim had gone on foot to search for help in the hostile weather.

You can read the story here.

I remember Kim from TechTV, which I watched years ago when it first became available to Canada.  He seemed like a genuinely pleasant guy.  Anyone who would go out in the weather that Oregon experienced last week to get help for his family deserves our respect.  My condolences to the Kim family.
