I can’t decide whether this is awesome or if it sucks.
Seriously. While I recognize the cliches and the fact that both actors usually make absolutely terrible movies in North America, I can’t help thinking this is freakin’ Jet Li fighting Jason Statham. Jet Li really needs to no introduction. The man is ass-kicking incarnate. He’s also the star of one of the worst movies in the history of film, The One which is only good if you watch the version from China that includes hilariously incorrect “subtitles”. Jason Statham, well, he’s made some seriously bad movies but in each one, he’s managed to look really badass…and isn’t that what counts? He’s also starred in awesome movies like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Actually, come to think of it…they were both in The One. God, I’ve blocked that movie from memory for so long…
The movie is called War and sadly, it looks like one of many Jet Li movies made in North America that use only his fighting skill and not his modest yet underrated acting skills. Mark my words, he’s going to stand around not saying very much and move once every half hour to kill people. Jason Statham, on the other hand, is going to crack funny British one-liners while a million henchmen attack him. Replace Statham with DMX and we have…all those movies that Jet Li did in North America in the last ten years that were entirely forgettable. Honestly, I can’t even remember what they’re called. Actually, no one even knows what this film is called. It was originally titled Rogue but it was changed to avoid confusion with another movie of the same name.
I know I’m going to watch this at some point. I always have some kind of hope that maybe one of these will be awesome but I’m usually disappointed. It will probably be a rental and, well, I’m going to come here to rant about how terrible it was.

I worke don this movie and played a Japanese mobster in the Katsura clan. I get killed most superstunninglysome!!!
one supermodel-turned-actress, one actor-turned-martial-artist, and one martial-artist-turned-sellout… who wouldn’t want to watch this movie?!
I just realized that there’s a Spyker C8 in it…and that’s pretty much one of the coolest cars in automotive history…so that’s pretty much a good enough reason to see this movie.
Is this movie out yet? The URL in your link gives a 404 error…
They changed the name of the flick so it looks like they need a new website.
Don’t be shocked but I’m in for the car too. I love seeing the exotic rides in movies. . . . .
Please forgive me. . .
It was slated for an October 2007 release last I heard, but that may be delayed too since the show was a bit of a gong show.
