Strangely in a world where Guns N’ Roses can work on Chinese Democracy for 15 freakin’ years, Kan-Yeezy moved up the release of his new album 808’s and Heartbreak a month to November.

First of all, it’s only been a couple weeks since we knew Kanye was coming out with a new album in the first place, which had been rumored for awhile but speculation was confirmed after the performance of his new single Love Lockdown at the MTV Video Music Awards. Some fans won’t like the extensive use of autotune and to be honest, I’m of the contingent that believes Akon and T-Pain need to be thrown off a tall cliff…

…into a river.

…full of alligators

…and piranhas

…that spit bees

…and acid.

Yes, I hate those guys that much. However, I must admit that Kanye makes good use of the auto-tune and while the track contains some killer percussion and baseline, it is quite a bit different from Yeezy’s style. Check it out here. Opinions? Awesome or too much of a departure from Kanye’s usual hits?

If he could sing, the wouldn’t need to use a vocoder so heavily. If the album sounds like this song, I don’t see much reason for it to exist.

Love Lockdown is pretty different. I like the bassline, but the AutoTune bothers me. I too am not a fan of T-Pain and Akon.

This sounds like crap, just like his verse in put on. Now akon and tpain are known for that specific sounds, but kanye is not. In my opinion his first 2 cd’s were his best. I hate that all these rappers are trying to sing using a vocoder, they all sounds like shit, it makes me sick!
