Michael Moore Gives Away His New Movie Slacker Uprising

Michael Moore's Slacker Uprising

It all started with Radiohead…sort of, I think.

Well, there’s been this whole “Give away stuff” movement going on with the music industry lately beginning with Radiohead giving away In Rainbows…or paying however much you feel like. Nine Inch Nails gave away a few too and earlier this summer Girl Talk did the whole “pay whatever you want” thing with Feed The Animals. However, I think this is the first time a real movie has been given away for free.

I like Michael Moore’s work. I thought Bowling for Columbine and SiCKO were great. People criticize him for being sensationalist and bias but hey, it’s a good show.

Slacker Uprising documents Moore’s efforts in encouraging young people to vote in what is probably the most important election in U.S. history. I haven’t watched it yet but I don’t see how anyone is going to complain…the price is right!
