Post Level Text Link Ads

Posted on May 3rd, 2007 by Ed Lau

I mentioned last month that I had received my first Text Link Ad. Since then, I’ve gotten two more and all three have been renewed for May which means a nice increase in ad revenue for my blog. There’s still room left on my sidebar so if you’d like a Text Link Ad for your site here, it’s available for $15.00 a month.

Anyways, in addition to these ads, Text Link Ads announced that they would be introducing post level ads last month and it looks like the program is starting up quite nicely. The Root of All Evil himself told me that he’s already sold five in addition to his sold out Text Link Ads box.

Text Link Ads lists 102 of my posts as eligible for post level ads, available for $5.00 to $8.00. That’s about a 50% discount over a sidebar ad. The other advantage to post level ads is that they’re more focused and work much like the related links at the bottom of each post. Anyways, I’ve yet to see how well this area of monetizing my blog works but once I get an order, I’ll be sure to post an update.

Ed, please do share your results. I’m considering using the post level ads but would love to hear what kind of success others have.

    Thanks!

Its a great idea, but I wonder if it’ll really take off. I’m gonna try this as well on my blog as soon as I am accepted.
