Remembrance Day 2009

by Ed Lau on November 11, 2009

Every year I try to wake up early to get down to Victory Square for the Remembrance Day parade. Not only is it a great photo op but I think it’s important to honor those who have given so much to protect our country, our freedom and our future. Whether it is Remembrance Day here in Canada, Veteran’s Day in the States or whatever it’s called anywhere else, take the opportunity to thank those who serve. Lest we forget the sacrifice of the brave men and women to whom we owe so very much.

Some great pictures there, here in the UK it was Armistice Day on the 11th and Rememberance Day/Sunday on the 8th.

Interesting to see you guys have differnt poppies there, the ones they sell here are made of paper and plastic and sadly fall apart very easily, I wish they would make a better effort over here with something more durable we can wear at this time of year to remember our fallen heros.
