Six Minutes of Spider-Man 3

Posted on March 6th, 2007 by Ed Lau

It will be tough to top Spider-Man 2’s pure superhero movie rush but if any movie can do it, it’s the third (and presumably last) movie in the Spider-Man series. That scene where Peter attempts to stop the speeding train is still one of the greatest scenes in all action movies so it really is no surprise that the second movie still holds several box office records. Of course, my interest in the third movie is mainly the appearance of Venom. For those of you who don’t know, Venom is kind of a…evil, alien black Spider-Man and since evil is always cooler, he’s far more awesome than Spider-Man himself.

A six minute preview of a few scenes from the upcoming movie was posted this morning and it’s certainly worth a look. Tobey McGuire is his usually whiny self and while I actually think James Franco is a good actor, he seems like he’s overdoing his part. Oh, and Topher Grace, apparently, is Venom. I thought Venom was supposed to be a bigger, stronger, more badass Spider-Man…how the heck are they going to convey this with Eric from That ’70’s Show?

Either way, the world better hope I never get awesome super powers since I’m almost sure I’d use them to take over the world in some insane, evil way.

Looking forward to see this movie. Funny enough my favorite character is Aunt May.

The new Hulk movie is being filmed this summer in Toronto. They are going back to the good old fashioned person in a green muscle suit, no more CGI crap.
