Left 4 Dead
I really need to find more time in the day. This is one of those “perfect storm” times of the year when tons of quality games come out and there’s simply not enough time to play them all. I saw a video for Left 4 Dead the other day and was convinced that [...]

So yesterday, my friends and I went to a Korean barbeque place to celebrate the birthday’s of my bros Tim and Halley. As I’ve said before, we’re experiencing some record snowfall here in Richmond and when we came out of the place about two and a half hours later, our cars had about 10 inches of snow on top of them! Heck, a snowplow had come by to get us out of the parking lot.
Of course, there are few places better to get trapped in than a Korean BBQ place, other than the fact that you emerge smelling like smokey meat…but even that’s not that bad.

One of the great things about Korean BBQ is the great little bits and bites that come with the meal, from pickled carrots to seaweed to bean sprouts with some peanut oil and spicy tofu. There is, of course, kim-chi but I’m not a big fan. I remember I used to like it a lot and don’t quite remember why I don’t anymore.
When I went to Korea a couple years ago, the food was great and everything had to be served in tiny, tiny little dishes and you were given metal chopsticks, something that I’ve never gotten in any other Asian country. Whatever you order, you get tiny dishes of kim-chi and the other stuff. It’s great. While Korean food is either really spicy or really bland, when you mix everything together, it’s pretty damned good! It’s all very meticulous but always feels very homestyle.
Oh right, did I mention how freakin’ awesome playing football in the snow is?
How awesome?
WAY awesome….WAY.

I’m living the Korean dream right now. I just had some barbeque (we just call it barbeque since we’re in Korea) tonight and it was awesome. I do agree that the bottomless side dishes do make the meal. Dude, kimchi is addictive and I can’t eating the stuff. I bought some and now our fridge smells like crap, hehe.
Here’s the 24 hour barbeque place we went to tonight (for the second time and many more times to come):
