Retailers have complained that the “high prices” in Canada is not their fault–it’s due to the fact that manufacturing companies charge more for their products. It would be nice to have some nice deals here, rather than driving down to Seattle.

Some big retailers like Wal-Mart have already slashed their prices to reflect the dollar parity. You’ll find almost everything there costs the same as it does in the US.
I was in T&T yesterday to buy bubblegum and they wouldn’t take an American nickel I had. A fricken nickel!!! This is crazy.

But everything over here (in the UK) is more expensive than the US AND Canada (excpet, perhaps, British GQ)

It’s about time! Here’s hoping that other products follow suit *cough* Apple.
I’m sure there are economic reasons behind why this ISN’T a good thing which I don’t know but I just want my cheap iPhone!
