Left 4 Dead
I really need to find more time in the day. This is one of those “perfect storm” times of the year when tons of quality games come out and there’s simply not enough time to play them all. I saw a video for Left 4 Dead the other day and was convinced that [...]

It’s been a bit of a crazy week around here. I haven’t had much time to relax or sleep but it’s a good kind of busy when your entire week consisted of eating food made by some of the best chefs in Vancouver, attending the opener for the new Vancouver Canucks season and getting a tooth drilled out by your dentist for two hours.
…maybe not that last one. Did I say good? I meant excruciating pain that involved much profanity and me tearing off one of the arms of his fancy chair that really should be better made.
It seems some other folks in the blogosphere also had busy weeks. Let’s see what everyone else was up to.
- Stephen Fung gave Happy Scooter up for adoption this week to make room for his new, yet un-named vehicle. I suspect that getting motorcycle lessons awoke his need for more power but didn’t want to get into getting a motorcycle just yet. After returning from Japan, I thought of getting a scooter after seeing how convenient and cheap they are but with winter fast approaching, I think I’ll wait for summer 2009.
- Miss 604, part of the Crazy Canucks group of bloggers and podcasters for the Vancouver Canucks that can currently be seen in a number of ads around the city, is holding a contest. If you happen to see one of the posters around town, take a picture of it and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to the Canucks’ open practice. I’ll be sure to keep my eyes peeled.
- Michael “The Segway Crashing Grammar Nazi” Kwan teaches us all how to use apostrophes. Fortunately, my grammar is damned near perfect already but some folks may have a less than stellar understanding of the English language. Others (*cough*John Chow*cough*) could be considered mediocre at best and would do well to take some lessons from Kwanye. Maybe you could trade him some balancing lessons.
- It’s not always evil and panda clubing for John Chow, who raised over $6,000 to feed the hungry this Thanksgiving. I wasn’t paying attention or I would’ve donated a little something myself but I prefer to do all my philanthropy during Christmas, personally. If you want to donate, it isn’t too late. You can still do so via this page at UGM.
- It has been rumored for a long time now but this week, Gary of iPhoneinCanada.ca confirms that Bell and Telus will be teaming up to create a new GSM network here in Canada. This is great for all Canadians as that means there will be more competition and therefore, lower prices in the mobile phone market. Good news because we’ve been paying absurd rates for our iPhones and data plans.

Although your command of the English language is vastly superior to that of the panda slayer, I still catch mistakes on your blog from time to time. I’ve noticed errors involving affect and effect, for example, but thankfully for you, I’ve got a post on that too.
ReplyWhat the hell did you do to deserve getting your tooth drilled out?!
ReplyI hope I win something
Btw Ed, is there any way to change my link on the Top Commentators section?
Thanks!
-Mike
Reply@Mike Huang:
I believe that is out of Ed’s hands. I had something similar happen on my blog and the only way around it was for the commentator (i.e., you) to start using a different email address. That’s how the top commentators thing recognizes who’s who.
ReplyHmmm…I’ve been using a different e-mail though. I wonder if it’s the name
ReplyOH - I guess I get 3 entries huh? Cool!
