1. Jeff Kee, who you might remember from the Dot Com Dim Sum, has had a pretty good blog week. He starts by asking the blogospher to help him mastermind an “accident” for a dog. Yes, I know it might sound a bit twisted but the dog also sounds rather annoying. I hate misbehaving dogs. He also shows us his home office and the difference in how men and women shop for laptops. It’s quite true that I put hardware first but I also don’t really want a seriously ugly machine. You have to look at it everyday, after all.

2. Jane May talks about something that search engines hate: frames. I’m sure we all remember when frames were hot. Personally, I always found them incredibly annoying. I just couldn’t understand why people think something like that looks good when a simple, streamlined site works so much better. I also hate it when people have flash intros or music on their sites…I can’t stand that crap.

3. Can’t Coach That asks “Who invented eggs?“. You might be thinking that’s a stupid question and…well, it sort of is but that’s not quite what he means. Coach McGee ponders who was the first person to think of eating eggs because…if you think about it, who the hell would pick up a white, ovally sphere that came out of a chicken’s ass and think to himself “This must be delicious!” But hey, some of the weirdest stuff in the world is the best tasting. Who the heck thought truffles would be so damned good when you pull it out of the ground and it smells like…well, how it looks.

4. Michael Kwan wrote a great post on John Chow’s blog this week, where he’s been guest blogging for awhile now. It also shows how much Michael owes me a pho since he met John through me! It’s quite a fun change of pace to blog on someone else’s site. I’ve been guesting all this week at [Geeks Are Sexy].

5. Gary Lee, the man behind the Technorati Link Train, discusses the pros and cons of the experiment. We’ve all seen a huge jump in links, Technorati ratings and such. I’m also very close to being one of the most favorited blogs on Technorati but it gets quite difficult with numbers getting higher every day. Either way, I think it’s been quite beneficial to everyone involved.

I love raw oysters but I see what you’re getting at.

“Whoa! I opened this strange looking rock and it had a giant booger in it! I bet it’s delicious!
