After the chocolate bunny massacre yesterday, let’s get back to something slightly more serious and show some love to other blogs in the community.

1. John Chow, the Root of All Evil, gives everyone some more tips on getting some more ReviewMe requests. So far, I’ve only done…one, and that was commissioned by the Hyundai-driving Stephen Fung at a time where they could be evil and get reviews for less than half price. John is also holding a contest (one of many on his site) for a Microsoft Zune. Personally, I haven’t entered because I doubt I qualify and…I don’t really want a Zune. I’ve got three iPods…why bother?

2. Gary Lee, making his second appearance on Speed Link Sunday, discusses the how to do sponsored posts properly without compromising your blog’s integrity. Personally, I don’t mind ReviewMe since you are free to say what you want and the standards are rather high but I personally don’t want to go into PayPerPost since reviews have to be positive and…well, I wouldn’t want to be associated with blogs like this.

3. Saman Sadeghi, also known as Samanathon tells us to back up our WordPress databases! It’s actually quite a useful thing to do since…well, you can never be too sure these days. He also has pictures of the sexy new Ford Shelby Cobra and some videos of Hard Gay. Yes, I was a bit…uh…suspicious when I saw the title too but Hard Gay is a hilarious TV personality in Japan, which produces at least 73% of the world’s weird crap. True story.

4. Fellow Canadian Jon Lee reviews Moleskine notebooks. Personally, I love these things even if they are a bit more expensive than regular legal pads but they just look so good and style is at least half the battle. Leaving one of these near your bed could save some of your ridiculously awesome ideas from slipping away in those moments after you wake up.

5. My New Choice, the financial blog of Derek Semmler, points us to some helpful financial resources. He also looks at why the heck some top executives request a very small salary, such as Eric Schmidt who receives a buck a year from Google. It’s not that simple, really but that should be quite obvious.
