I finally got a new tire to replace my ripped one this week so my car doesn’t look ridiculous driving around on a little steelie but I also found out that my new wheels won’t be here for 6 weeks. The supplier doesn’t have any so I have to wait to get them straight from Work in Japan. Right now, some dude in Japan is forging them so it’ll take awhile.

I’m going to go watch The Simpsons Movie tonight tomorrow so stay tuned for a full review. Oh, there might be something else interesting happening this week too. I hear it involves giving away free stuff.

  1. Our friend Spud Oregon/Nick Ramsey and his wife, Mami became parents this week! Head on over to either of his blogs, Nice4Rice or LongCountdown and congratulate him on the birth of his son, Rikuto. Send a cigar my way, buddy.
  2. Nate Whitehill documents how his RSS subscribers from zero to over 400 in seven months. He gives us all a few tips on how to do so here. Personally, I’d like to reach a subscriber base of 200 by the time I hit one year of blogging in November.
  3. Michael Kwan has a video of 1500+ prisoners in a Filipino prison doing the most awesome dance of all time. I know most of you are thinking the Safety Dance but since there’s not much of an actual…dance in that video, the title belongs to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. I’m sure most of you remember all the dance moves too…heck, I still do.
  4. David Lithman has some tips on fighting boredom for those of us who work in front of a computer all day. I’m not sure about a couple of these. YouTube, for example…if I get anywhere near that site while working, you can be sure that there will be no work getting done in the next few hours. Wikipedia too. I know it’s supposed to be a useful site but when you start looking up who invented pancakes or what samurai swords are made of…your productivity goes to hell.
  5. Everyday Weekender, a fun blog about cottage life, grilling steaks and such, is giving linkbacks from a PR5. Quite helpful with the Google PageRank update coming up soon.

Hey Ed,

Thanks for the link. It has been a fun journey blogging so far and I look forward to the future. I am SURE you will hit 200 by November if not much sooner.

Thanks from me, too! The little one is keeping us very busy, but we’re enjoying every minute.

Enjoy the movie!
