Left 4 Dead
I really need to find more time in the day. This is one of those “perfect storm” times of the year when tons of quality games come out and there’s simply not enough time to play them all. I saw a video for Left 4 Dead the other day and was convinced that [...]

I don’t know why I’m so sleepy today. I had a decent amount of sleep yesterday although I have been experiencing a bit of insomnia lately, which is really quite strange since I’ve been living almost entirely stress free since I found out I got my faculty change at UBC and would be able to graduate soon. I’ve had a few entirely sleepless nights in the past few weeks. Thing is, I don’t feel all that tired afterwards either. It’s as if days were actually 48 hours long. Yeah, it’s weird. Oh well, in a few days I’ll be able to get back on my bike so maybe if I’m not sleepy then, I can go for a ride and hopefully be tired enough to sleep.
- Apple whore Gary Lee was one of the many who braved the line-ups for a brand new Apple iPhone last week and wastes no time blogging with it. He also has a bug fix for something to do with iTunes on his site. I, too, thought about getting an iPhone but since data plans are insanely expensive (and there isn’t enough market competition here in Canada to lower prices), it would be largely useless. Instead, I’ll probably be purchasing a Windows Mobile-based smartphone.
- Derrich, on the other hand, thinks the iPhone pales in comparison to the Nokia N95. I can see the point of the N95 but at 21mm thick (double that of the iPhone), it’s simply too big to put in your pocket comfortably. I’ve held the N95 and it’s just massive. It does, however, have a significantly better feature set compared to the Apple.
- Leo Chiang has some pictures of the Kwik-E Mart in Coquitlam, one of 12 7-Elevens that have been converted to look like the convenience store in The Simpsons. There are Squishees, Buzz Cola and Krusty-O’s cereal for sale but from what I’ve heard, people are buying up all the pop and cereal as collector’s items so good luck getting your hands on some.
- Cash For Comments is giving away free reviews in exchange for comments on his site. The catch is that you have to leave five comments and use the anchors “get paid” and “blog site” in addition to “Cash for Comments”. Not a bad idea. I haven’t requested a review from him yet but he has visited my site so I’ll just preemptively give him some link love.
- Carl Pei is heading to China and has started a travel blog called To Be Rich Is Glorious to document his time. Funny name for a blog but he says it was inspired by the Root of All Evil, John Chow. Looks like he left earlier today. Have a safe trip, dude.

N95: It’s like a computer for your pocket.
ReplyStephen Fung bought a Windows-based WiFi phone while he was in Hong Kong. Pretty cool.
