Left 4 Dead
I really need to find more time in the day. This is one of those “perfect storm” times of the year when tons of quality games come out and there’s simply not enough time to play them all. I saw a video for Left 4 Dead the other day and was convinced that [...]

I almost forgot to do Speed Link Sunday today since…well, I spent most of the day taking a nap. I was going to go back to the Vancouver International Jazz Festival going on downtown but it was such a rainy day, I didn’t want to bother. I dropped by yesterday since I was limping around to my favorite clothing stores in Gastown and wanted to go back today with my camera (since the one on my phone doesn’t really cut it…) for some good music and…interesting people. Starbucks was giving out mini-Orange Mocha Frappachinos too. I was almost expecting gasoline fights a la Zoolander to break out..

1. Career Ramblings is under new management as Jane May and John Anthony have sold their site for a cool $20,000. I’m have no idea about how this will affect the popular career blog but Jane seems to think the new owner will do a good job.
2. Eva at Stranger in Suwon has some great pictures of Korea as she continues to teach English. Most recently, she taped the names of famous people to her student’s foreheads…tell me that doesn’t look hilarious! She also has roughly the same opinion as I do about Ocean’s Thirteen but I was a bit more lenient than “minus 100 stars”.
3. Jon Lee got banned from Digg for some reason, which is a bit strange since I regularly read his blog and…well, I don’t think any of it is spam. I wouldn’t worry too much about it since Digg is mostly full of idiots these days and the voting system is broken anyhow. John Chow was banned last year and it barely affected his traffic at all.
4. Kelly Cho is currently visiting China and the Great Wall. China sort of freaks me out sometimes since I always hear stories about fake…everything and seriously weird food like these scorpions on a stick. I’m sure Kelly won’t be eating any of that…but hey, I’ll try just about everything once.
5. I usually just ask John for blog monetizing questions but Dosh Dosh is a great resource as well…don’t let the anime girl pictures fool you, it’s a serious make money online blog. Recently, he broke down seven ways to get started in making money blogging.

I had to spend the day indoors working but I heard about the crazy thunderstorms going on outside. Funny how it was sunny when I got to work and sunny when I left work too
ReplyI would have tried the scorpions if I had someone with me who dared me… but since I was alone, it’s just no fun!
