It’s been a good long while since I’ve done Speed Link Sunday and that is because of…well, a lot of blogs started around the same time I did and one by one, many of them have become abandoned as the owners have become busy, bored or burned out. As such, I’ve had fewer blogs to read and that makes it difficult to find five to link to each Sunday. However, there has been a bit of a surge lately with some new, interesting blogs popping up so I might do this on a regular basis again soon…or maybe not as my upcoming trip to Taiwan and Japan means the scheduling of my blog might change for the short term and I might not be able to post once per day. I don’t like the idea of guest bloggers, really, so we’ll have to see. Anyways, onto the main event.

  1. Mike Huang, a regular on the top commentator list, is giving away two MacBook Airs and $1,000 at Bloggin-Ads.com. In case you don’t know, Bloggin’-Ads does detailed blog reviews. In fact, for my birthday, Mike did a great review of my blog . The contest ends on June 13th so get your entries in soon!
  2. While we’re on the MacBook Air, that’s exactly what Mostly Lisa recently received in the mail…totally free. Geez, it must be nice to be a cute girl that people will just give free things to. I, at least, have to do a bit of work to get free stuff
  3. Speaking of my upcoming trip to Japan, Neil Duckett runs a blog about his experiences there…and we all know how wacky the Japanese can get. Here they’re showing off a solar-powered bra…and we can’t seem to figure out why. It certainly isn’t as stylish as anything from Victoria’s Secret…and I don’t even think it’s hooked up to anything. Even if it was…doesn’t that mean you have to walk around with your bra showing to power it?
  4. David Alison, who has also made a recent switch to Mac much like myself, John Chow and Stephen Fung, goes over some of the common myths about Macs. I have to admit, I also though that one mouse button would be a hindrance but the touchpad on my MacBook Pro works so much better than any other laptop I’ve ever owned (and I’ve had lots…).
  5. iPhone in Canada reports that Canada will finally get the iPhone…in September. The rumor mill has been full of stuff like this lately as June gets closer. It’s an almost sure thing that June will see an announcement for the iPhone coming to Canada but some of the less informed believe that this means it will actually be here in June…which is definitely not the case. In fact, I’d say September is optimistic.

Thanks for the shout out! When do you leave for your trip? I would say just post once a week when you’re on your trip…a massive filled post rather than small daily posts. That outta give you more time to frolic freely with Mongorians!

I tell yah man, if I had a pair of tits and a vagina I could get my mortgage looked after. Or I could just live at home with the folks, how’s that working for you Ed?
