1. Don’t let all the anime girl avatars fool you, Dosh Dosh is a great resource for blog monetization tips and not, in fact, a cos-play database. Like Gary, he did a Technorati favorites train and is currently #8 on the Top 100. However, he’s found that actually being one of the top favorited blogs on Technorati hasn’t translated into a lot of traffic being sent from the blog directory.
2. Gary of BlueFur talks about running contests as a good promotional tool for sites and gives some good instructions on doing so. There are some great contests going on right now, including a free Nintendo Wii being given away by one of our sponsors at Darin.cc.
3. Shawn Knight shows of his workstation. Like me, Shawn runs several monitors and lots of computers. I must say…it’s going to be tough for Gary to pick a winner.
4. Nate Whitehill writes about how blogging has changed his life. “The real “gold” in blogging is not in the money, but what happens beyond the blog.” I totally agree. I’ve found plenty of great reasons for blogging including making keeping yourself motivated and making lifestyle changes.
5. Former Hyundai-driver Stephen Fung tells us the story of his old Subaru, which I remember for it’s obscenely loud exhaust. I made a similar post when I found out my old Mercedes was totaled…but that’s a story for another day. All guys remember their first car. I miss my old car too.
