Speed Link Sunday! – September 23rd

by Ed Lau on September 23, 2007

Another groundbreaking week for me this week as the.[Ed]ition once again hit an all time high for RSS subscribers at 132. Also this week was my first ever internet radio show appearance, co-hosting The Shoemoney Show with my friends John Chow and Greg Morgan.

We got a lot of great feedback from the show and Shoe liked it so much that he’s asked us to host the show again this week so be sure to tune into Webmaster Radio again this Tuesday at 3PM.

  1. Stephen Fung, who you’ll regularly see as comic relief in our videos and often mistaken for a Hong Kong singer of the same name, is giving away a Halo 3 Legendary Edition. Yep, you can own a replica of Master Chief’s head along with a copy of the hotly anticipated game. I’m not sure I want to play Halo myself, really. I’m more of a tactical shooter guy…and Halo always seems to attract all the weirdos on Xbox Live.
  2. Derrich is advertising for for bikini waxing monkeys. How Google determined that ad was relevant to his site is…something I’m probably better off not knowing.
  3. Derek Semmler took the words right out of my mouth when he posted in regard to how insanely ugly and stupid looking Crocs are. I actually was going to make this post as well since…god, I don’t understand how a shoe that’s this ugly can be this popular. I mean, even if they are comfortable…how could you stand wearing something like that in public? I don’t think I could even stand wearing them at home…or anywhere. I suppose if all the other shoes in the world had been thrown into a volcano…but I’m a bit too style conscious to wear rubber shoes with holes in them.
  4. John Cow has a moo-nificent new blog design, complete with cow printed Pagani Zondas. I’ve really got to work on doing a 1024px layout one of these days…
  5. Gary Lee concludes that if a girl can do the robot…then she’s probably marriage material. …actually, that’s probably true.
