Studio 60 on Hiatus

Posted on February 26th, 2007 by Ed Lau

Due to continued poor ratings, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is taking the scheduled break a week earlier than previously planned with no real timetable on when it will be back. In it’s place is some show called The Black Donnelly’s about guys named Donnelly who are, in fact, not black. It is made by Paul Haggis so there is a bit of interest but not much.

Seriously, it says a lot about American society when they can make shows called Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader? while something brilliant like Studio 60 is on the verge of getting canceled. Admittedly the writing for Studio 60 has gone somewhat downhill since the beginning but it is still one of the smartest hours of television on these days. However, I guess that’s why it is failing.

Just watch Heroes go next because some jackass hick from Nobodycaresville, Wyoming can’t keep up with the plot twists.

Noticed they pulled Heroes from it’s regular Monday night slot to Sunday night. I was lucky I caught it in time to watch the beginning.

A sad day in television when a show that’s actually intelligent gets pulled. I really liked Studio 60.

I have to admit I never even heard of Studio 60, they probably had real shitty promoters.

It really grinds my gears that Studio 60 is having so much trouble when crap like Jericho is doing a-okay.

I thought Jericho was canceled a long time ago? It was filmed here in Vancouver. It is a shitty show though.

Jericho is, in fact, just starting their second season. I could never be bothered to watch that show.

Ahh, that would explain why it’s been airing lately. I thought it was just old, shitty reruns.

Ooops! Lol. Just realized I was confusing Jericho with that other crappy show Jeremiah (starring Luke Perry and that black dude from Cosby). Jeremiah was filmed in vancouver and was promptly canceled. Same shit different channel.
