The Dot Com Pho crew has been known to eat at some pretty unique places but I doubt we’ve ever been anywhere as strange as Modern Toilet in Taipei. That’s right…because real Dot Com Moguls eat out of toilets. Seriously…when Michael Kwan, Stephen Fung and I read about this restaurant…we knew we had to go. We dragged John Chow there as well.

Yes, there’s a restaurant in Taipei that serves everything in a toilet. It’s all relatively normal Taiwanese-style food but well, you’re eating it out of the crapper. I know this all sounds really disgusting but the food is actually really delicious and we had a great time there. I mean, we all thought it would be a huge gimmick (and it was) with terrible food like so many other novelty restaurants all over the world but the food at Modern Toilet was actually very good. We all said we’d go again. Even the prices are great. We ordered quite a bit and it came to a bit more than $10 a person.

I think any song with the mention of bathroom or toilet or related would have worked.

I read about this awhile back!! Such a cool restaurant. If only Vancouver had one, you guys would be able to have weekly dumps ;)

Great to see Ed wearing a England football (aka soccer) shirt.

One of many, my friend. I actually have four of the same one. Two blanks, one with Rooney and one with Gerrard. All bought in 2006 when I was in Europe for World Cup ‘06. I’ve got a picture of me meeting James May in England kit and a video of me and my friends drunkenly caterwauling Three Lions in a pub watching one of the first matches with England.
