Ok, growing up 15 minutes from Detroit I'm most certainly a die hard Red Wings fan. But for the simple love of the game you've been added to my feed reader :-)

I can't agree with you more. I'm more of a NBA fan, so I don't usually watch any hockey on tv. One of my clients has a box at the Staples Center, so we got to go watch a Kings game and I have to tell you it was a really fun and exciting environment. I'm assuming you have to be a pretty hardcore hockey fan to be a hockey fan in LA, so that's probably why. I have to admit that sitting in the nosebleeds is a much better experience if you're a relative newbie to the sport, since the fans up there can teach you EVERYTHING!

I really felt terrible for Oilers fans when I heard that Smyth was traded. You just can't trade guys like that...the guys that are the heart and soul of the franchise. We here in Vancouver know that all too well since Trevor Linden was traded during the Keenan/Messier (aka...the Dark Ages) era of the franchise. It would be like the Flames trading Iginla or the Avs trading Joe Sakic. It's just not right.

Yep, I was sitting in section 105. The funny thing was that the usher who was there is the same old dude that was there the last three or four games I've been to.

I was at the game last night as well.

I was in Sec 118. Seems like you were sitting in the club seats.

I love watching Flames vs. Canucks games. The hype for us here in Alberta is always the Battle of Alberta, but I think the new rivalry is Calgary vs Vancouver. Especially with the departure of Smyth from Edmonton.

Go Flames Go!

I was at Game 7 a couple years ago, against the Calgary Flames. The one where Cooke tied it with like 3 seconds left in the game... Words cannot describe the atmosphere when that happened... People were literally bawling with emotion.

Then Jovo had to take yet another dumbfuck penalty and it was all over shortly after that.
