Yesterday, Kardboard and I headed to the Canada Post building to meet Maëlle Ricker because, well, we’re big fans. It’s one thing to be totally awesome as Olympic gold medalist but Maëlle seems to be a heck of a lot of fun as well as we’ve seen during her interviews and appearances. She’s a giggle monster! Actually, while Maëlle is a prime example, a lot of the athletes seem like fun people and the un-fun ones (see Dale Begg-Smith.) appear to be in the minority.
Unfortunately, AJ failed at focusing when it came time for my picture with Maëlle (he will receive the beating of a lifetime later!) so that’s why it looks like this but I managed to get a couple of great shots of her and some autographs as well.

Someone totally ruined your Maelle Ricker moment in the last pic! Now you can’t stare longingly at it without squinting.
I got a pic of Begg-Smith with a smirk on his face, but it’s probably because someone called him a douche and he liked it.
Ouch with the focus, I know how that feels!
