Vote for Rory!

It’s been all over the newspapers this week but I wasn’t really about to believe that people were actually voting Rory-freakin’-Fitzpatrick into the NHL All-Star Game. For those of you who haven’t been baptized as Canuckleheads, Rory Fitzpatrick is a defensemen for the Vancouver Canucks who spent most of his career prior to this year at our minor league farm team, the Manitoba Moose. No disrespect to Rory but he is…not the world’s greatest defensemen and definetly not All-Star calibre at this point in his career.

However, there is apparently an online campaign to get Rory into the All-Star game and he has received more than 30,000 votes thus far. While this is no where near the 200,000 plus that someone like Scott Niedermayer but there’s still time! Everyone get your ass to the NHL site and vote for Rory Fitzpatrick! Fitzpatrick said earlier this week that he was surprised by the campaign to get him to the All-Star game. I love stuff like this like petitions to get Stockwell Day to change his name to Doris Day or stupid petitions to get people to stop being stupid.
