The unquestioned breakout hit on television two years ago was Prison Break, following Michael Scofield as he and his band of convicts attempt to break out of Fox River Penitentiary. However, once they did break out, the show hit a bit of a rough patch and got more and more far fetched in the second season. Even though I still watched it, I really got the feeling Fox was trying to milk their new hit for everything it’s got. The writing got too complicated and most of the time, the viewer was left dumbstruck by the absurdity of the show’s increasingly unbelievable plotline.
However, like the sixth season of 24, as bad as it got, it was still rather exciting to watch at times. Fox knows they sort of dropped the ball last season so let’s hope they improve the show this year, which finds Scofield once again behind bars but this time in an extremely dangerous prison in Panama, where he and the government agent pursuing him ended up after the conclusion of season 2. I never got hooked on this show, but I’ve heard nothing but great things about it. There are few shows I actually go out of my way to watch. I’m sure this will be a DVD rent series for me.
ReplyI watched 4-5 episodes, but frankly this show isn’t good, my opinion that is, a typical show that chicks would get hooked on.
