If you’ve ever perused Digg or any other social site with a comment system, they’ll all look roughly the same. First post is usually “FIRST!” and then it spirals into a mess of people calling each other random derogatory names, racist terms and the spewing of general hatred. Oh, and let’s not forget the spam! Of course, sometimes it results in something of awesome genius such as this but for the most part, the majority are what we see in this video from CollegeHumor that captures the essence of the internet flame war perfectly. There’s some rather foul language so I probably wouldn’t watch this at work, around small children or the Amish. But if you managed to find internet near an Amish settlement, then maybe you should. I mean, who else is going to?
