Freestyle Footballers Show Off
Remember all those joga bonito commercials that Nike had on during the last World Cup? These dudes put all that to shame. However. doing just about anything on a helipad probably makes it way more epic. Heck, you could do some extreme knitting on a helipad and it would look awesome. [...]

I saw some new reports about an upcoming Michael Jackson tour today on TV, something that was reported by Fox News a couple months ago but hey, since it’s Fox News, no one took it seriously. Personally, I find it a little hard to believe that Michael Jackson is broke even after his ridiculous spending sprees and spending who knows how long in the middle of a desert. I’d thought all the royalties and such would keep that guy in the money for a damned long time.
I’m a huge Michael Jackson fan. The real Michael Jackson from the ’80s and early ’90s, although he started looking weird right at the end of that. I grew up listening to his music and I still think Billie Jean is as close to a perfect song as there can possibly be. Even today, there are few performers if any that can match MJ at his best. There are plenty who claim to be heir to his dance but no one moves like Michael Jackson. He might be crazy as hell but no one in their right mind would deny his talent.
I mean, even though he’s starting to look like a white woman in this video, he’s still got it. If you want to see perfect version of his Billie Jean dance, watch this one from 1983, which is apparently the first time he did the moonwalk. However, he lipsyncs through it. But hey, who can blame him…it’s tough to do that dance while singing. That first one is him but he’s got backup singers helping him.
Anyways, I brought up MJ because I was listening to the new Ne-Yo album, which will be released on May 1st. There are certain songs which totally sound like early Michael Jackson hits, especially this one titled Because of You. I’ve had this single for months now but since I don’t get MTV or Muchmusic despite having a million channels on satellite, I never saw the music video but it’s quite apparent even 30 seconds in that Ne-Yo is paying his respects to the King of Pop, especially with a beat like that. A great track from one of the more talented singer/songwriters in R&B.

ReplyI’ll always be a big fan of MJ. I saw him in concert at Wembley Stadium in London when he was on his HIStory tour. It was absolutely amazing.

MJ is the best and without any doubt the king of Dancers, nobody can be even close to the way he does music or/and dances. Ne-yo now is working with MJ.
Regards!

MJ will always be the ultimate nsinger-dancer performer, I saw him in Melbourne in 1987 and he was awesome. Ne-Yo is cool and it’s great that he gives props to MJ when it’s so fashionable to slag him off. the truth is, NONE of nu-school R&B is even thinkable without MJ’s pioneering music.
When it comes to dancing, we never see Justin T., Usher, or Ne-Yo do more than one move at a time in their music videos. Anyone can pose like this and with good editing end up looking like a dancer.
But the best thing about Ne-Yo’s clip is learning that he wears his skull-cap beanie to bed. Must be chilly where he lives, eh?
