Freestyle Footballers Show Off
Remember all those joga bonito commercials that Nike had on during the last World Cup? These dudes put all that to shame. However. doing just about anything on a helipad probably makes it way more epic. Heck, you could do some extreme knitting on a helipad and it would look awesome. [...]
Read MoreWhere The Hell Is Matt 2008…and I’m In It!

Yes, I’ll get to my Tokyo post but first, I received an e-mail from Matt Harding yesterday informing me that the latest video of him dancing to that funky music, white boy…is up and running. I posted about Matt’s ridiculous but totally awesome “dancing around the world” videos and last September, when he said he would make a stop in Vancouver, I took the opportunity to go meet him and be in the video. Here’s us boogie-ing down. I’m not sure which one of us is better at dancing poorly…or whether that’s actually winning, really.

Here’s the whole video. Yes, it is, in fact, epic as hell and made of win…although the screenshots above are obviously the best part since I’m in it. But what the heck, watch the rest anyways.

Sure that’s not you in the Papa New Guinea section too.
ReplyActually, I think it’s pretty cool that you got to meet him and be in the video. I am a big fan of Where the Hell is Matt (I find it inspirational for some reason).
Wow, that was pretty epic. He’s had one crazy trip. The zero gravity bit in Nevada was particularly cool.
ReplyThe first video is the cutest!! rest are fun too.
ReplyI wonder how many more of these videos Matt Harding will do?
Surely he can’t just keep going around & around the globe doing his strange little dance….
Or can he?
ReplyHe gets a ton of cash and free air fare. If I had that, I’d probably do that for a long time too…
ReplyI remember reading about Matt awhile back. He must have a lot of money to be able to travel all over the world like that. I loved the part where he’s dancing beside the military guy in Korea and the India part where he dances with all the women.
ReplyJust to let you know Ed, I paid tribute to you at work today by playing that video all day, instead of Blue man Group. When Dave questioned me, I pointed you out, then paused it on the part of you. I’m pretty sure he murmured “can’t escape him..” but I could be mistaken..
Replywiiiiii! that’s awesome to be part of something so EPIC WIN!
Reply@Mark and Kevin Yee: Matt is sponsored by Stride Gum for his trips. They have a couple people go with him with a camera. The first thing you do when you go to do one of these videos is fill out a release form and then they give you all this Stride Gum stuff. So no, I seriously doubt he’s paying for anything here.
@Lesley: That’s awesome…hahaha! I tortured that poor man for three years and now even after I left, he’s still gotta see me (albeit rather briefly) in the store.
How about you change all the wallpaper in the department to a big picture of me and then have everyone in the store tell Dave that he’s the only one that sees it.
“What are you talking about? That’s the default Windows wallpaper of the rolling green hills…”

[...] beautiful girls. But apparenlty, he likes dancing with dudes too. I’ve never seen Ed Lau so excited to dance with another guy. But apparently, that’s what floats his boat and his boat was floated when Matt Harding came [...]
