Who Wants To “Swede” A Movie?

Posted on March 27th, 2008 by Ed Lau

I saw this version of Jurassic Park on Michael’s blog earlier and…this is awesome. I’m almost sure that the soundtrack will be up for an Academy Award next year.

In case you don’t know what the heck I’m talking about, apparently “Sweded” versions of movies have been popping up all over the place after Be Kind Rewind hit theaters awhile ago. Basically, they’re remade (poorly) versions of popular movies. Michael guessed right on what movies I’d want to do…which would definitely include something by Arnold Schwarzenegger since my Ahnuld impersonation is so incredibly dead on. “GET TOO DEE CHOPPAAAA!” “I’m govanah AHNALD SCHWAHZAGAHAHEIAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHGHHTHHT!”

But at the top of my list would have to be The Fast and the Furious, which contains some of the most unintentionally hilarious lines in movie history. “S.W.A.T. came into my house! DISRESPECTED my whole family…because someone narced me out! And you know what?! IT WAS YOU!” Man, whoever wrote that deserves a raise…and some kind of lifetime achievement award or something.

So who’s in? I can recite half that stupid movie so there won’t be any problems there. “Road’s closed, pizza boy!”
